Episode 22 of Upon Further Review!

We’re back once again with reviews of sites, stores, and songs in Episode 22 of Upon Further Review!  In this show we wish everyone a happy American voting day, so to speak, before we get straight into the reviews:  first, we take a look at one more way to waste time on the Internet with our review of movie sharing giant YouTube; second, we look at another kind of giant as we discuss the finer points of buying in bulk at Costco; and finally, we try to get some questions answered (and get some great music in the process) in our podcast section as we review Ask Lyndon.   As always, we thank you for listening, spreading the word, and sending us your feedback, ideas, and opinions–please keep it up!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 21 of Upon Further Review!

We’re in a bit of a spooky mood in Episode 21 of Upon Further Review! In this show we thank well-wishers and loyal listeners before heading into the meat of the show: first we tempt the fates with our review of Halloween (yes, the whole holiday–all of it!); second, we replay the David vs. Goliath showdown with our review of Shadow of the Colossus; and finally, we try not to get snowed under with our review of the vidcast Snowmen Hunters. As always, we are grateful for your continued support, encouragement and listening–and as always, we ask that you continue to spread the word so we can thank you even more! (Special thanks this week to the Great Pumpkin; as usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 20 of Upon Further Review, Special Edition!

Once again we’ve returned with opinions, thoughts and friendly suggestions with Episode 20–a Special Edition of Upon Further Review! In this show we thank friends, commentators and listeners before launching into the meat of the episode: we left the friendly confines of Eagle Studios recently and took a (short) road trip to the Digital Life Convention in New York City, a electronics/gadget/game fest for everyone’s inner tech-fan, and so in this episode we look at a number of games, items, and tech trends which we saw at the convention (including screen protectors, the Tablet PC, Final Fantasy XII, Neverwinter Nights II, and Hellgate London among others) before wrapping up with our podcast segment, a review of the Propadata Films vidcasting company. Thanks as always for your comments, suggestions, feedback and of course your listening time–and please spread the word! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 19 of Upon Further Review!

It’s another week and another round of thoughts, views and opinions as we proudly present Episode 19 of Upon Further Review! In this show we sympathize with Clea, dealing with allergies and a cold (though in the fine UFR tradition, she refuses to let a little illness get her down!), before moving on to the main section of the show: first, we raise the ultimate question (what IS the Matrix?) with our review of Toyota’s newest and hippest car; second, we nurse ourselves back to health as we examine the effervescent effectiveness (say that five times fast) of Airborne; and finally, we mix it up a little (okay, a lot) with our review of the Eclectic Mix podcast. As always, we want to send out our thanks to all of you for listening…and if you keep giving us feedback, spreading the word, and coming back for more, there’s a lot more thanks where that came from! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 18 of Upon Further Review!

We’ve finally reached voting age, and to celebrate our new ability to make decisions (well, sort of) we’re rolling out all new opinions in Episode 18 of Upon Further Review! In this show Clea rethinks her suspicion of GPS receivers before we move on to the main portion of the show: first, we browse through the Internet megastore known as eBay; second, we whip out our plus 3 Boots of Buttkicking as we review the Munchkin card game; and finally, we venture (with not a little trepidation) into the world of biotechnology with our review of the Futures in Biotech podcast. Thanks as always for listening, contributing, and telling others to do the same! (Special thanks this week to Weird Al Yankovic for his musical contribution to the show; as usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 17 of Upon Further Review!

We’re charging down that eclectic highway with our multi-subject episode 17 of Upon Further Review! In this episode we send a shoutout to our listeners before moving on to the show proper: first, we get lost and then are found with our review of GPS (Global Positioning Systems) portable receivers; second, we look at glass and grass (no, not THAT kind!) in our review of the Chihuly exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden; and finally, we look into the future as we review the Silent Universe podcast. As always, we thank you for listening, telling friends, and generally being all around nice people…and ask that you keep all of that up! :) (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 16 of Upon Further Review!

We’re having a party for our sweet sixteenth episode of Upon Further Review, and you’re invited! In this episode we get right down to business (so we can get back down to our half hour length!) with our three items for review: first, we admit that the Force is our ally as we review Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy; second, we pass judgement on ABC’s hit show Boston Legal; and finally, we hang out with a couple and their kids as we review the Me and the Bean podcast. As always, we appreciate your support and feedback–please keep both things coming, and spread the word about the show! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 15 of Upon Further Review!

We try not to take ourselves that seriously to begin with, but we’re definitely just playing around in Episode 15 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we welcome our guest reviewer, Steve from the Wicked Good Podcast and the Extra Points Fantasy Football Podcast, who joins us in our survey of gaming fun:  first, we take a look at the wild world of online game rentals with our review of Gamefly; second, we’re ready for some football with our take on Yahoo Fantasy Football; and finally, we wander through a pop culture paradise as we review the Nowhere in Mulberry podcast.  As always, we are grateful for your continued support and encouragement, and ask that you spread the word about our show–and pat yourself on the back for being the loyal UFR listener you are!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 14 of Upon Further Review!

We’re in a musico-cartoonish-scientific mood with the release of Episode 14 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we thank a few people, and preview our guest reviewer for next week, before moving on to the show proper:  first, we get in touch with our inner rock god with our review of Guitar Center; second, we enter the strange, quirky, and Flash-based world of an athlete with invisible arms and a 70s-era Mexican wrestler with boxing gloves as we review Homestar Runner; and finally, we study the formation of the universe with our review of the meaning of li–er, we mean the Absolute Science podcast.  Thanks for listening, and please continue to send us suggestions for things to review, comments to consider, and opinions to appreciate!  (By the way, that strange squeaking sound you may hear in the background in this episode is our dog Lilo attacking her squeaky fish toy.  We’ve given her a good stern talking-to, though, and the fish will not make a return appearance.  :) )  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”) .)
