We’re on the list!

No, this isn’t a Heroes reference–apparently someone was nice enough to add Upon Further Review to the 2000 bloggers list over at Tino Buntic’s site, and we’re not entirely sure whether to be flattered by the inclusion or amused at the rather blatant Technorati link building this project is trying to develop–particularly since we’re a review show, not a blog.  But we do write things here sometimes, and besides, far be it from us to look down on increased traffic!  Moreover, some of these bloggers are interesting reads, so head over and check it out.  You might even find yourself there…

Episode 30 of Upon Further Review!

We’re back again with the show you know and love (we hope!) in Episode 30 of Upon Further Review! In this episode we review pioneers in civil rights, women in podcasting, and spies On Her Majesty’s Secret Service–though not necessarily in that order. First, in honor of the recent holiday we look at Martin Luther King, both life and legacy; second, we examine the new grittier take on the world’s favorite secret agent in our review of the movie Casino Royale; and finally, we look at the first of two major vidcasts with female hosts as we review Cali Lewis’s GeekBrief TV. Thanks as always for listening, contributing, and spreading the word about the show–we couldn’t do this without you (well, we could, but it would be kind of silly)! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (”You’re My Girl”).)

Episode 29 of Upon Further Review!

After a short hiatus for the holidays and other such realities of daily life, we’re back in Episode 29 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we welcome back Cathryn, star of Episode 9 of UFR, into the guest review spot before plunging into the first show of 2007:  first, we ask what kind of sport doesn’t decide its results on the field (and who thought doing so was a good idea?) with our review of the college football Bowl Championship Series; second, we look at the strange merging of anti-Fascism and fantasy in the new movie Pan’s Labyrinth; and finally, we get motivated and hip (at least that’s what we’re told!) in our review of the Hey Josh vidcast.  Thanks as always for your support–we apologize for the delay in getting this show out, and look forward to a great new year with all of you!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

We hope you Digg it!

Okay, so we’ll admit we’ve never been huge fans of the “democratic” news site Digg (for lots of different reasons), but they have recently started a new podcasting section which could (theoretically) be kind of cool.  A few people have already been kind enough to Digg us over there, and if you’re so inclined (and have or are interested in a Digg account) we would certainly appreciate a Digg from you as well.  The link is here:

We’ll have Episode 29 out shortly.

Happy New Year to all!
