Episode 72 of Upon Further Review!
We’re back once again with a discussion of trains, teams and troubled music video channels (kind of!) in Episode 72 of Upon Further Review! In this show we dispense with any potentially distracting banter (well, except for a brief bonus rating of lemonade) and jump right into the meat of the show: first, we invite everyone to climb aboard as we review Amtrak; second, we return to Greg’s roots with our take on the Red Sox message board, Sons of Sam Horn: and finally, we get into our wayback machine as we look at the past, present and future of MTV. As always, we appreciate your continued listening to the show–and as always, we ask that you spread the word to others! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (”You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (”We Gotta Go”).)

Enjoyed the show.
Running cargo and commuter trains on the same tracks is an issue for Amtrak. In any case, commuter trains should have higher priority then cargo trains.
Re: AmTrack
Everything I’ve every heard about riding Amtrak can be summed up by the The Mighty Mighty Bosstones song, “The Impression That I Get”
Also, if you like either trains and / or board games, or just want to relive your cross country experience, check out “Ticket to Ride”…
Really like your show!
Mike
DI: Glad you enjoyed the show, and totally agree on commuter trains vs. cargo trains. At the least Amtrak needs to be up front about the potential delays in the current system.
Mike: We have some friends who love TTR, and we’ve tried it ourselves once or twice…we’ll have to look into actually getting it. As for wanting to relive the cross country experience, we’d have to think long and hard about that… :) Thanks for the kind words, and for the comment–we’re glad you’re “on board.”
