This week we go dancing, hiking, and throwing baseballs (sort of) in Episode 44 of Upon Further Review! In this episode we celebrate a year of UFR (although we’re saving our big celebration for Episode 50!) and thank everyone for their review suggestions before moving on to the show proper: first, we put on our dancing shoes for our review of the TV hit show So You Think You Can Dance; second, we lace up our boots as we look at the sport/avocation/exhausting occupation of hiking; and finally, we look at sports in the virtual world with our review of the MySportsRadio.com website. As always, we appreciate your ideas and suggestions, and as always, we ask that you keep sending those along…and keep sending your recommendations of the show to everyone you can! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

This week we take on parks, provocative talk shows and podcasts in Episode 43 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we are again joined by guest reviewer Russ of The Mep Report fame, and together we look at our usual trio of items:  first, we get in line for fun with our review of amusement parks; second, we fire up the old opinion gauge with our look at the Mike and the Mad Dog sports talk radio program; and finally, we go back to the “Happy Days” of yore with our review of the Just My Show podcast.   As always, we are grateful for your continued support and encouragement, and as always, we hope you’ll build on that support by spreading the word about the show!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

We’ve finally managed to get a Quicktime version of our Norway film for all of you fine iTunes people…it is sizeable (about 200 megs), so if you’ve already seen the film or would rather download it later, feel free to cancel this download from your feed.  (But don’t unsubscribe…we’ve got lots of the normal sized material yet to come!  :) )  We hope this helps.

This week we celebrate the birth of a nation–at least, if you consider food, fireworks and celebrity fun part of a birthday party the way we do–in Episode 42 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we welcome some new listeners to the fold before getting down to business:  first, we chow down with our review of the hot dog; second, we ooh and ah as we look at the art and science of fireworks; and finally, we shake our heads and laugh at ourselves with our review of VH1’s Best Week Ever.  As always, we appreciate everyone’s feedback, ideas, and suggestions…and hope you’ll let everyone else know where they can give the same!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Best Week Ever

We’re back into audio mode this week as we look at the serious business of games in Episode 41 of Upon Further Review! In this episode we thank everyone for their kind words and comments while we were in Norway and then move on to the heart of the show: first, we twist ourselves around a bit with our review of the board game Dungeon Twister; second, we get down and dirty with some dungeon crawling as we look at the board game Descent: Journeys in the Dark; and finally, we flip out over the latest Nintendo masterpiece, Super Paper Mario. We’re glad to be back on the recording routine, and hope you will all continue to send your suggestions for things to review, feedback on our shows, and general good vibes (and, of course, tell others to do the same). (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”); outro and in-episode music this week is provided by The Kode Secret with their appropriate “Mario Medley” tune (thanks, guys)!)

As the attached audio clip mentions, it’s come to our attention that for some reason iTunes doesn’t have the two parts of our film Upon Further Review in Norway listed…perplexing to say the least, since the feed is valid and nothing else (other than it being video rather than audio!) has changed.  Rather than fight the power of Apple, we figured we would just let the iTunes people know that we have released two weeks worth of shows (in the two parts of the movie form)–please head over to our website to check it out for yourselves.  We’ll be back with our standard audio show next week.

As promised, the second part of our film Upon Further Review In Norway has just been posted!  In this concluding section of the movie, we tackle trains, fjords, harbors, and salmon (not necessarily in that order) and give our final ratings of the country of Norway, adding our usual blend of humor and silliness (SERIOUS silliness!) along the way.  We will post a full version of the movie next week (as we return to our normal audio format) and, if there is any interest, announce how you can get the full length DVD quality film for yourselves and your loved ones (and your hated ones if you want, though we hope there aren’t many of those…).  As always, we appreciate your feedback, ideas and suggestions…and please continue to spread the word about the show!

Well, we promised you something special after our trip, and we hope we’ve delivered with this, the first full-length film from Upon Further Review! In this episode you’ll both see and hear our experiences with the fjords, food, cities and people of Norway. Watch glaciers and high-speed ferries collide (no, not literally!) as we explore the fascinating Scandinavian land of Viking myth and legend–and, as you might expect, we’ll have a few ratings to dole out as well. Because of the length of the film, we’ve split it into two parts; we’ve posted Part One here, and will post Part Two here next week. After that we’ll post the full length video onsite, and may even make the full-length DVD available if people are interested in it. Either way, as always we’re grateful for feedback, ideas, and of course your continued listenership–and we hope you’ll continue to spread the word about the show!

Hi all…we just wanted to let everyone know that we’re back from our trip to Norway, and have cooked up something special for all of you from the experience.  It will take a couple of days to put together, though, so please bear with us…we’ll have it up as soon as we possibly can.

This week we look at crime, games, and emerald cities, pretty much in that order, in Episode 40 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we say hello to new and old listeners before moving on to the heart of the show: first, we look at the second longest running show in television history with our review of Law and Order; second, we ready sword and shield as we give our impressions of the Nintendo Wii game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess; and finally, we look into the finer points of coffee, fish markets and computer companies as we review the city of Seattle.  As always, we appreciate your thoughts, ideas and opinions, and as you all know, the more you tell others about the show the more we like it!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)
