Episode 48 of Upon Further Review!

This week we go to a galaxy far, far away in Episode 48 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we thank listeners for comments and corrections before moving on to the main part of the show:  first, we get a little punked out with our review of The Pixies; second, we see how strong the Force really is as we look at the Star Wars franchise; and finally, we see how one fan’s vision translates to the not so video screen with our review of the Tatooine TV podcast.  As always, we appreciate your ideas and feedback, and we ask that you keep them coming…and the word about the show going to whoever you can!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 46 of Upon Further Review!

This week we take on rockers, secret agents and obsessive dog walkers (we’re nothing if not diverse!) in Episode 46 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we call out Ikea for some possibly naughty behavior before getting into the meat of the show: first, we sit down for a meeting with the Boss as we review Bruce Springsteen and his album Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.; second, we go underground with our review of The Bourne Ultimatum; and finally, we question how OCD one can be as we look at Amanda Banana: The Obsessive Dogwalker Video Podcast.  As always, we appreciate your suggestions and ideas for future review topics, and ask that you keep them coming–and yourself listening!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 44 of Upon Further Review!

This week we go dancing, hiking, and throwing baseballs (sort of) in Episode 44 of Upon Further Review! In this episode we celebrate a year of UFR (although we’re saving our big celebration for Episode 50!) and thank everyone for their review suggestions before moving on to the show proper: first, we put on our dancing shoes for our review of the TV hit show So You Think You Can Dance; second, we lace up our boots as we look at the sport/avocation/exhausting occupation of hiking; and finally, we look at sports in the virtual world with our review of the MySportsRadio.com website. As always, we appreciate your ideas and suggestions, and as always, we ask that you keep sending those along…and keep sending your recommendations of the show to everyone you can! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

One more for the iTunes crowd…

We’ve finally managed to get a Quicktime version of our Norway film for all of you fine iTunes people…it is sizeable (about 200 megs), so if you’ve already seen the film or would rather download it later, feel free to cancel this download from your feed.  (But don’t unsubscribe…we’ve got lots of the normal sized material yet to come!  :) )  We hope this helps.

Episode 41 of Upon Further Review!

We’re back into audio mode this week as we look at the serious business of games in Episode 41 of Upon Further Review! In this episode we thank everyone for their kind words and comments while we were in Norway and then move on to the heart of the show: first, we twist ourselves around a bit with our review of the board game Dungeon Twister; second, we get down and dirty with some dungeon crawling as we look at the board game Descent: Journeys in the Dark; and finally, we flip out over the latest Nintendo masterpiece, Super Paper Mario. We’re glad to be back on the recording routine, and hope you will all continue to send your suggestions for things to review, feedback on our shows, and general good vibes (and, of course, tell others to do the same). (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”); outro and in-episode music this week is provided by The Kode Secret with their appropriate “Mario Medley” tune (thanks, guys)!)

A Quick Announcement for iTunes users…

As the attached audio clip mentions, it’s come to our attention that for some reason iTunes doesn’t have the two parts of our film Upon Further Review in Norway listed…perplexing to say the least, since the feed is valid and nothing else (other than it being video rather than audio!) has changed.  Rather than fight the power of Apple, we figured we would just let the iTunes people know that we have released two weeks worth of shows (in the two parts of the movie form)–please head over to our website to check it out for yourselves.  We’ll be back with our standard audio show next week.
