In this episode we comment on everyone’s, er, comments (and encourage more!) before moving on to the main portion of the show: first, we look at the comic stylings of Oscar Wilde; second, we break down the magic of superhero chic with our review of the New York Comic Con; and finally, we find out more than anyone should know in our review of the What You Ought To Know vidcast. As always, we appreciate your continued feedback, and as always, we ask that you continue to spread the word far and wide about the show! In this episode we thank our loyal listeners for their patience during our absence before getting into the meat of the show: first, we look at how buying water can make everyone thirsty with our review of bottled water; second, we step into some magic with our review of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom; and finally, we step into the past (or at least the past’s stories!) with our review of Mister Ron’s Basement. As always, we appreciate your continued support of the show, and as always, we ask that you continue to spread the word to others! We’ve returned once again, and it’s time to ring in the new year with Episode 53 of Upon Further Review!  In this episode we shock the world in revealing our New Year’s resolutions (okay, it’s not that shocking, but it is revealing!) and warn iWin of our displeasure with their latest action before moving on to the heart of the show:  first, we ask how big a scam artist you have to be to get in trouble for it with our review of vanity presses; second, we hook up our bounty hunter gear and blast off as we look at the Nintendo Wii game Metroid Prime III:  Corruption; and finally, we get all hip and musical (so to speak) with our take on The Stuart Bedasso Show podcast.  As always, we really appreciate your ideas and comments, and as always, we hope you’ll spread the word so others can join the smartest group of listeners on the Internet!  (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Episode 50 of Upon Further Review has arrived!

At long last (and we hope this lasts long!), we are proud to present Episode 50 of Upon Further Review! Since this is a special show for us, we thought it only appropriate to take a special approach to it–and since this is show fifty, what would be more appropriate than to review fifty things? In thirty minutes?

Crazy, you say? Impossible, you suggest? Then it’s time you learn of the power (and insanity) of The Reviewers! In this show we review six colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple), six red meats (beef, lamb, venison, pork, ostrich, buffalo), nine different kinds of foods (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Ethiopian, Mexican, Italian, Irish), six pop stars (Britney Spears, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan), eight items suggested by listener “Classic Chris” (video game arcades, reality shows, Celebreality, Kathy Griffin, Clue The Movie, Aeon Flux, www.manager-tool.com, Ronald Reagan), twelve games (Blue Moon, Bohnanza, Rack-O, Hoopla, Murder To Go, Cranium, Loot, Shakespeare the Bard Game, Lord of the Rings Trivia Game, Civilization the Board Game, Cribbage, Are You A Werewolf), two miscellaneous items (What Should I Do With My Life and Cirque du Soleil’s Wintuk), and one very, very important item, which gets the highest rating we’ve ever given–and you’ll just have to listen to see what it is!

We are incredibly grateful to all of the people in our ever-growing listener base for sticking with us and telling friends about the show, and look forward to many episodes to come. Special thanks to Drum Intellected for recording the intro to the show (and unsolicited!). As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”); the remaining music in this episode is provided by Top Johnny! (“Kick It We Are The Masters TJs ClubHouse REMIX,” “Surrender Let It Go TJs ClubHouse REMIX”).

Episode 49 of Upon Further Review!

This week we talk babies, baseball players and brazen skeptics (well, actually humanists, but we wanted another “b”) in Episode 49 of Upon Further Review! In this episode we make a special announcement (you’ll just have to hear it for yourselves!) before moving on to the main portion of the show: first, we look at the power of infant registries with our take on Babies ‘R Us; second, we celebrate the power of America’s national pastime as we review the World Series; and finally, we examine the origins of the universe (sort of) with our review of the Humanist Network News Audio podcast. As always, we’re grateful for your ideas and suggestions–and as always, we ask that you please spread the word about the show! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)
